We would have heard otherwise if it was not. Lots of people seem to have it working ok. nfo) then it's just a case of downloading all the content and installing it for yourself. What I am trying to say is that there is no way the R2R release could be worse than the og Steinberg installation. I know you can mix and match legit stuff with cracked stuff from R2R but I already bought everything so I don't need to do it twice. In case you were asking about cracked versions of Halion and Steinberg stuff, sorry I can't say. Also a lot of the programs are known not to install properly since the last 5/6 years and still IK has not fixed their installers. Whole Sampletank bundle is like 600 Gigs. It throttles your dl's to 1MB/s and then stops the dl as it happens so you have to babysit it all day to dl even the basic version of Syntronik which is 80Gigs. Take the IK product manager for example for IK Multimedia stuff. No matter how bad it is, it could be worse. In practice it does work but it just takes time and patience. otherwise you need to dl 30 gigs again for Halion say. So if your install is messed and you need to do it again, you still have the OG dl. That way it doesn't automatically erase the content after dl'ing it. Make sure you choose 'download' and not 'install' from the download manager. So once you downloaded stuff, you then have to check what's what with the library manager and then authorise it. Most of these are downloaded when you download one they download the others automatically. The download manager works ok, but you also need a library manager and also an authorisation manager. It is a real chore to set up and takes a whole day but there are a lot of files with multi gigs of content. Anybody out there actually ueses these successfully in production ? I use Halion and I have the Absolute collection. are any (or all) of these STEINBERG releases actually working and usable without hickups ? I am asking cuz I heard SO many remarks or comments about how messy the Steinberg protection is supposed to be etc. Quote by mickeymessstudiosHi - please excuse my scepticism.
